Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said a contract was signed to receive 50 million doses of China’s Covid-19 vaccine, Sinovac.
At a press conference in Ankara, Koca said that the number of cases will also be announced at the table. While he said that some cities, including Istanbul, had the third summit, he emphasized the importance of drug use in the initial period.
The highlights of the minister’s statement are as follows:

50 million doses of vaccine

One of them entered the operational phase. It was made for 44 volunteer citizens, no problem was seen. I think we will implement it by April at the latest. We will have more than one local vaccine.
* We will never receive any fees from our citizens while we get vaccinated. We will do it for free for risk groups. If our citizen wants to buy a different vaccine, we will open the way for him by allowing it to be sold in pharmacies by setting an upper limit.
* (Influenza vaccine) We will expand it even more in a few days, we add its application to 75 years and more, we will probably reduce it to 70, 65 and one week, to 60 years in 10 days.
Taking medicine is important
* The pneumonia rate was close to 30 percent in April, currently 3.4 percent. The main reason for the decrease in the rate of pneumonia is the drugs used before and in the initial period. I mean that our citizens apply these drugs with precision. The majority of patients with severe disease are those whose treatment was not started in the initial period and who did not take medication in the initial period.
