Galatasaray Club will not be able to hold the extraordinary general meeting that it requested in December. The yellow-reds, who want to convene the general assembly for extraordinary elections from December 19 to 26, will not be able to do so due to the outbreak of covid-19.
The COVID-19 Scientific Advisory Council, established under the Interior Ministry, recommended that non-governmental organizations, professional organizations, unions, or cooperatives, which would be difficult to maintain physical distance, should not hold large-scale meetings and postpone them for a later date. It was known that this date, which is December 1, 2020, will be extended until February 28, 2021.
It has been known that until this date the convening of general assemblies will not be allowed and a new decision will be made according to the course of the pandemic. The governors are expected to send this notification from the Home Office to the Galatasaray Administration through the Associations Office and the club is expected to officially announce it. The usual congress time from Galatasaray is May 2021.
