Minister Koca noted in his written statement that the works carried out since 2015 with the support of the ministry in line with the localization and nationalization policy have yielded the first results.
Stating that the first national vaccine produced to international standards is ready for use, Koca said:
“The project approved and supported by our Ministry gave its first products. The vaccine study, including technology transfer, has been successfully completed. All production processes of the adult-type tetanus-diphtheria vaccine have been completed. with completely domestic facilities.Within the scope of the project started in the Akyurt district of Ankara in 2015, the contractor company Turk İlaç, the first filling 2017 In facilities with Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) certificate were completed and began to produce all processes, including the production of antigens. The first delivery of the adult tetanus-diphtheria vaccine was made to our Ministry, which had the necessary quality audits and its suitability approved. During the period, significant success was achieved in this field, the process towards the national production of vaccines, which we started within the framework of the indigenization policy, will continue with new good news.

Health Minister Koca shared the image of the vaccine on Twitter and wrote:
