Speaking to the public from the Elysee Palace, Macron said that the daily number of Covid-19 cases in the country has dropped significantly.
Stating that the number of people in intensive care dropped from 4,900 to 4,300, Macron claimed that the peak was reached in the second wave.
Macron announced that as of November 28, stores that sell non-essential products will be able to serve until 9:00 p.m., and people will be allowed to leave for 3 hours about 20 kilometers from the house.
Emphasizing that if the daily number of Covid-19 falls below 5,000 in the country, the curfew will be lifted all day on December 15, and will apply between 21.00-07.00, but indicated that the curfew will not be valid on exceptional December 24 and 31 due to Christmas and New Years. .
Macron said that cinemas, theaters and discos will remain closed, and gyms and restaurants could open on January 20, depending on the situation of the epidemic.
Stating that winter sports can be performed in January next year, Macron said he wants people who test positive for Covid-19 to be isolated.
NO VACCINE REQUIRED
Macron said they are buying maximum doses of vaccine from the European Union (EU).
Noting that they will be transparent in informing the vaccination studies in the country, Macron said that the vaccine will not be mandatory in the country and they will organize a vaccination campaign.
Announcing that the use of vaccines against the Kovid-19 epidemic will begin in late December or early January 2021, Macron noted that the economic crisis caused by the epidemic in the country will deepen.
Macron said they will provide financial support to 4 million families and 1.3 million young people who are experiencing economic difficulties.
