The ambassadors of the European Union (EU) and Italy in Ankara and the German charge d’affaires were summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and protested the action of Operation Irini against the Turkish ship.
In the statement made by the Foreign Ministry, it was noted that the EU and Italian Ambassadors in Ankara and the German Charge d’Affaires were invited to his Ministry by Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Önal.

REACTION FROM VICE PRESIDENT OKTAY
Vice President Fuat Oktay said: “I strongly condemn the illegal intervention against our freighter by a German frigate in the framework of this controversial operation.”
