As military tension continues in Yemen between the Saudi-led coalition and the Houthis, the attacks continue to take place within the borders of Saudi Arabia.
According to the Saudi state agency, a missile attack was carried out on an oil distribution station owned by state oil company Aramco, located in the north of the country’s Jeddah city. The agency described the incident as a “terrorist attack”, although it did not directly blame the Houthis.
In the statement issued, it was reported that firefighters managed to extinguish the fire after the attack and oil supplies were not affected by the attack.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Seri, on the other hand, stated that they attacked a distribution station belonging to the Aramco company in Jeddah with the Jerusalem-2 missile that they recently put into use, and said that operations will continue.
The pro-Iranian Houthis, who fought against the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, attacked two major facilities of the Aramco oil company with armed drones on September 15, 2019, and daily oil production fell by 5 million barrels.
