Bülent Arınç: I would not give up Twitter or Instagram like others.
After meeting with President Erdogan, Arinc announced that “he will do whatever is necessary”
A new development occurred after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized the words of the member of the High Presidential Advisory Board (YİK), Bülent Arınç, about Osman Kavala and Selahattin Demirtaş.
Following news of Arınç’s resignation, Posta newspaper columnist Murat Çelik had a phone call with Arınç.
Arınç told Çelik that he was an “emotional person” and said: “Yesterday’s speech hurt me a lot. The President of the Republic made a very harsh speech.”
Çelik shared what Arınç said during the meeting on Twitter:
1.) I spoke with Bülent Arınç by phone. His explanations are as follows:
– I am an emotional person. Yesterday’s speech hurt a lot. The president made a very heavy speech.
– There have been some rumors that I quit, but for now this is not true.
2.) Bülent Arınç:
– I would not give up Twitter or Instagram like others.
– Regarding the situation, Mr. I am looking forward to meeting with the president in person.
3.) Bülent Arınç:
– Mr. The president is in Istanbul today. Your schedule is busy. Therefore, I was unable to meet today. I think tomorrow will be in Ankara and we can meet.
– I’ll do whatever it takes after I meet him.
4.) Bülent Arınç:
– I would like to know from him why he needed to give that speech under development conditions.
– After listening to it, I can say “I was the recipient of that conversation. In this case, here is my letter of resignation.”
5.) Bülent Arınç:
– Because of me, I will not let both our president and the High Advisory Council (YİK) wear out. It does not go with me.
6.) Bülent Arınç:
– Previously, in some of my statements, there were those who made comments like “What is someone who says these things in YİK?”. However, I have much more to do.
– But it gets to the point that sometimes it’s better to go than to stay there.
7.) I asked Bülent Arınç:
– It seems your meeting with the president will result in your resignation. So will YİK just leave the presidential membership or resign from the AK Party?
Arinc:
– Of course only from YİK. Why should I leave the party?
