Today began the trial of the defendant Cebrail Can K., who denounced Dr. Haga Demirel, whose workplace was changed after the events. In the 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance of Kilis, doctor Haga Demirel, who had been harassed for 7 years, and the defendant Cebrail Can K. did not attend the first hearing in the case. Speaking to reporters after the hearing, Haga Demirel’s lawyer İslim Argıllı Suvat stated that he received a report that he had no forensic skills at the Adana Ekrem Tok Hospital for Mental and Neurological Diseases, where he was sent after the defendant Cebrail Can K. was arrested. “We have requested a request for a comprehensive report. Our request on this issue will be evaluated at the next hearing. Claiming that the defendant sent harassing messages to his client at 1,570 different numbers in the last year, Suvat said: “It looks like he sent thousands of messages to my client. This is an incredible number. Our goal is to save my client from a serious and persistent persecution. There is the question whether the accused bears criminal responsibility.
