It turned out that Onur Acar, who was arrested after the incident, planned to murder his wife Cemile Nur Acar and his father-in-law Abdullah Duman, as well as his lawyer Ilyas Geçgelen.
According to the indictment, Onur Acar said that he called Ilyas Geçgelen, a lawyer on the way out of court after the criminal case, and that he wanted to meet at his offices to discuss the “agreed divorce.”
When lawyer İlyas Geçgelen said he was uncomfortable and that they could not meet in his office, Onur Acar shot his wife Cemile Nur Acar and his father-in-law Abdullah Duman with a bomb rifle that he took from their vehicle in the park near the courthouse. It was learned that Onur Acar said in his first statement “I was going to meet the lawyer in his office and shoot everyone there.”
