The MHP Commission, made up of MHP Vice President Feti Yıldız, İzzet Ulvi Yönter and İsmail Faruk Aksu, examined the transcripts of the speech by CHP President Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and filed a criminal complaint with the Ankara Attorney General’s Office. The Ankara Prosecutor General’s Office, which processed this criminal complaint, prepared a report to lift Kılıçdaroğlu’s immunity. In the summary presented to the Presidency of Parliament, 10 different speeches by Kılıçdaroğlu were included in the MHP petition, 7 of which are group speeches. While Kılıçdaroğlu claimed that there was no criminal element in his 7 speeches, his words “criticizing the arrest of Selahattin Demirtaş and the appointment of trustees in the municipalities and the government politicizes the judiciary” were considered criminal.
ÖZKOÇ: MHP ACTIVATES THE AKP
CHP Group Vice President Engin Özkoç called on the MHP to “go back to the realities of the country”, saying that the AKP government is trying to repress the opposition. Özkoç expressed his reaction as follows:
“As a result of the AKP’s 18-year rule of law in Turkey, health, education and the economy, we see many areas are bankrupt. When the AKP government is unable to govern the country, it tries to suppress the opposition that is against it, saying that “the country is not governed properly.” Put your voice in jail, judges. In this process, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu takes firm steps to listen to the opposition and different segments of society and to strengthen democracy. This undoubtedly disturbs the Popular Alliance. The MHP’s review of various statements by our president and the filing of a criminal complaint with the Ankara Attorney General is clearly a trigger for the AKP government. MHP must return to the realities of the country and must cure the problems of the citizens. Those who try to intimidate the opposition must not forget that neither our President Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu nor other members of Parliament will stop speaking the truth and defending the interests of the citizens. “
MAN: THE PALACE IS AFRAID
CHP Vice President for Legal and Election Affairs Muharrem Erkek also showed the following reaction:
“First of all, the Assembly is full of summary. There are more than a thousand reports on the deputies. Our president is seriously opposed and shares the facts with the public. This scares the palace. We are in a period in which the judiciary is used as a weapon. Justice is not a speech but a form of action. They are talking about reform, if you really want reform, you need a constitutional change. In this HSK situation, what reform are you talking about when the safety of the judge is not guaranteed in the Constitution? Could there be a reform where there is no separation of powers? The Lafla cheese ship does not walk. It is not possible for the palace government to carry out reforms in the field of law. So if you think these fezlekes will take us back, you are very wrong. We continue our fight for justice. Such baseless statements, unfair accusations, conspiracy cases, serious and unfair arrests destroyed confidence in the judiciary. This reform rhetoric is nothing but dazzling. Formally, they want the opposition to form a judiciary under the control of the Assembly and themselves. That is why they fear freedom of thought and expression, freedom of the press. It shows how much fear prevails within the palace walls. A part of the judiciary also acts on instructions. If we want to manifest justice, we will correct all of these. This is the basis of our Second Century Calling Statement. We will give the law a new Constitution. “
