Following the regulation on curfews for citizens aged 65 and over in Ankara, a similar practice is implemented in Istanbul.

In the Istanbul Governor’s statement on the matter, the following was stated:

* In the resolution of 10.06.2020 and number 56 of the Provincial Board of General Hygiene, it was decided that “citizens aged 65 and over can go out every day between 10:00 and 20:00 hours, provided they comply with the social distance rule and wear a mask. “
* This issue was reevaluated by the Board in the framework of the fight against the epidemic; It has been decided that citizens aged 65 and over can go out every day between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the condition that they comply with the social distance rule and wear a mask, and that citizens of 65 years or more will not be able to leave outside these hours.
* For citizens 65 years of age or older who have a curfew outside of 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
* The nature of the public service, the urgency of the current situation and the doctors, health workers, pharmacists, elected public officials, personnel of social service organizations, etc., whose services will be necessary to ensure the continuity of the public service . public workers,
* From the entrepreneur, merchant, merchant, industrialist, farmer, self-employed and salaried, SGK service certificate proving their active insurance, tax registration, company authorization certificate, chamber or union identity, etc. Those who document with one of the documents and the heads of trade associations are exempt,
* The decision will be implemented throughout Istanbul starting Thursday, November 12, 2020.
* It has been decided to ensure that the decision is fully executed by the relevant institutions, to impose an administrative fine in accordance with Article 282 of the General Hygiene Law and to initiate legal proceedings within the scope of Article 195 of the Turkish Penal Code.
