The highlights of President Erdogan’s speech are as follows;
We commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the commander-in-chief of our War of Independence, our first president, on the 82nd anniversary of his death forever. We gratefully remember each of the founding staff members. I wish mercy to our heroes who shed blood and sweat to preserve this land as our homeland for 1000 years.
I recommend to those who are trying to evacuate their heritage to our nation. With the tutelary understanding that sees them as the owners of the state and the slaves of the West, we have united our country with its universal goals.
We mobilize the resources of the country for the needs of the nation rather than the interests of a small minority.
If we had stayed within those narrow borders drawn for our country, we would not be able to look at our nation. Those who were used to using this country as the property of their parents with a handful of elite hands for years came to us by all means. Allah is witness that we were always sincere when he said: “Azan will not be silent, the flag will not descend, the nation will not be divided, the homeland will not be divided, our country will grow, our state will be strengthened.”
Turkey carried out a more powerful way to start the war of independence a century ago that was exposed to such a despicable siege. If we stayed within those narrow borders, if we did what the guardianship says, not the nation, we wouldn’t have these problems, but we couldn’t look at our nation. Our nation is the biggest supporter of our fight for democracy and development. We were always sincere when we said that the call to prayer will not be silenced, the flag will not go down, the country will not be destroyed.
We made all the promises we made to our nation believing in our hearts. We work day and night to deliver on these promises. Today, not only within the borders of Turkey, it is also outside the borders a source of strength and hope that we owe our struggle. The population of our country has increased from 13 million to 83 million. The number of our schools in primary, secondary, high school and higher education has increased from 5,000 to 88,000, and the number of our teachers from 12,400 to 1,143,000. The number of our doctors increased from 1,000 to 174,000 and the hospital bed from 10,000 to 251,000.
Total foreign capital investments in our country reached 223 billion dollars. Of course we have problems. None of them are problems that cannot be overcome.
“NO ONE CAN APPEAR”
Nobody can say that the ratings of international credit evaluation institutions are awarded according to objective criteria. No one can say that the criticism of our country in the Western press is based on genuine and sincere motives. As we have seen concrete example in the Eastern Mediterranean, unjust illegal towards Turkey, she cannot say no to the unconditional support of the motives contained in unjust interference. Who can say that what we experience in the economy in such a climate is the product of its own environment? The general economic difficulties already being experienced in the world are further aggravated due to the coronavirus outbreak, Turkey has managed to manage the process with minimal degradation.
We take over. Turkey’s debt to the IMF was $ 23.5 billion. We did? We arrived, in May 2013, we reduced the IMF debt to zero. With the IMF, there is nothing left in terms of debt. You cannot interfere with our policy.
We continue on our way, overcoming one by one the political obstacles that we have set ourselves. Employment has always existed among our development plans. Unemployment continues to decline.
