In the 6.6 magnitude earthquake off İzmir Seferihisar, 114 people lost their lives and 35 were injured. Although 898 of the injured citizens are discharged, 137 of them continue in treatment. It was revealed that Hayati Uzun, the building’s contractor, moved to the Bayraklı district of Izmir after losing his grandson Emrah Uzun in the Erzincan earthquake in 1992 and built this building and gave his grandson its name. Hayati Uzun lost his wife Rabia Uzun and his 2 grandchildren in this earthquake.
7 people were arrested
