In vaccination studies against coronavirus, an important stage has been reached in ERU. R&D studies of the inactivated candidate vaccine ERUCOV-VAC have been completed, which was developed against Covid19 at ERAGEM, produced under GMP conditions at Koçak Farma and supported by the Ministry of Health. The first dose of the inactivated candidate vaccine ERUCOV-VAC, which is completely national and national, was administered to Nazif Durna at the Center for Research and Good Clinical Practices of the University of Erciyes (İKUM) after approval by the ethics committee and approval from the Ministry of Health, and Phase 1 studies began. Nazif Durna, who volunteered to administer the candidate vaccine, said she was happy to volunteer. Durna thanked the academics for their work and said “I hope I can be a hope for the people.”
‘PHASE 1 WILL BE ENDED IN JANUARY’
ERÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış, on the other hand, stated that the periclinic studies of the candidate vaccine ERUCOV-VAC developed by ERAGEM against Covid-19 have been completed, and said that they plan to complete the Phase 1 studies in early January. of the next year. Rector Çalış, referring to the importance of the study, said: “We have applied our candidate vaccine to our first volunteer today, who completed the periclinic studies. Therefore, we have started the Phase 1 study in our vaccine study. The study Phase 1 will take approximately two months. Hopefully, we are planning to complete it in early January next year. ” If successful, it is planned to move on to other Phase studies at our university. Our candidate vaccine developed by our university and the vaccines developed by other vaccine centers in our country will be our national vaccines offered to our citizens against Covid-19.
