In Antalya, the gendarmerie organized a helicopter-backed operation against drug traffickers. The Antalya Provincial Gendarmerie Commander, Brigadier General Mustafa Başoğlu, led the so-called “Steel Cage” operation. In the operation, in which 400 members of the gendarmerie participated, the teams of the Subdirectorate for the Fight against Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) and the District Gendarmerie Command simultaneously raided the addresses previously determined in the districts of Alanya, Manavgat and Serik. In the operation, 50 suspects were arrested, including women.
