In the incident that took place in Bahçelievler around 09:00 a.m. yesterday, an explosion occurred on the second floor of the five-story apartment building. Firefighters dispatched to the crime scene found the body of 31-year-old Fatma Mavi in the hallway.
According to the DHA news, the Bahçelievler District Police Department Public Safety Office Teams, which have deepened their work on the explosion in which Mavi was found to have lived here for 2 years, initiated a study on the Fatma Mavi’s last contact. In the studies, it was determined that the young woman most recently met with Ergin A.
“FIRST THEN FIRING”
The Chief of Staff of the Bahçelievler Public Security Bureau, who started working on this, detained Ergin A. In A’s statement, “We went to Taksim in the evening and met Fatma and the 2 women with her. We arrived at the house where the incident occurred around 07:00 in the morning. Meanwhile, a jealous argument broke out between us and Fatma due to another woman.
I couldn’t control myself. At that moment I brought the madness and strangled Fatma with my hands. Then I called my friend Ali İlkay S. We went to the gas station. I paid him to buy gasoline. Then I came home. Ali did not go up. Then I poured gasoline and set the house on fire. It was known that he said: “I also burned Fatma.”
After the testimony of Ergin A, who had burns on his hands and arms, the teams of the head of the Bahçelievler Public Security Bureau arrested Ali İlkay S.
