Izmir Metropolitan Municipality takes action for earthquake victims and families of those who lost their lives

Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer said they will employ citizens who lost family members in the earthquake and will give priority to disabled citizens, with a statement made on his social media account.

The 6.8 magnitude earthquake in İzmir killed 69 citizens and injured hundreds of our citizens.

As search and rescue efforts for citizens under the rubble continue, the mayor of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Tunç Soyer, announced the good news about the earthquake victims on his social media account.

Stating that they will provide all kinds of convenience to the earthquake victims and their families, Soyer’s statement is as follows:

The pain of our lost citizens is in our hearts. Nothing is enough to bring them back. If they wish, we will employ a member of the families of our citizens, who we lost, within our Municipality. We will prioritize the employment of our citizens disabled by the earthquake.
