According to the information obtained, the apartment, located on the second floor of the 5-story apartment building, allegedly exploded due to the compression of natural gas. Immediately after the explosion, a fire broke out on the floor. Upon receiving the notice, firefighters, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters entering the department took control of the fire in no time and put it out. Then the medical teams performed the first intervention on Fatma Mavi, 31, who lived alone as a tenant in the flat. Fatma Mavi, who worked in the media sector, was found to have died.
Crime scene investigation teams carried out a large-scale investigation on the street and inside the building. Fatma Mavi’s body was taken to the morgue of the forensic medicine institution for an autopsy. Some firefighters at the scene said the explosion may have been caused by compression of natural gas.
