A body was found in the Bozkır district of Konya, with the head and genitals severed. Although it was learned that the body belonged to 56-year-old Mustafa Sömek, as a result of the investigation initiated by the police, the suspected murderer Mujahid Minaz was captured and detained by the police operation in Yalıhüyük in a commercial taxi.

A beheaded body was found next to a secondary school located on Ahmet Yaşar Street in the Yukarı district of Konya’s Bozkır district. Upon notification from the surrounding citizens, teams arriving at the scene saw that the body belonged to Mustafa Sömek and that his head and genitalia had been cut off.

Sömek’s severed head was found in the high school garden. Teams from the Konya Homicide Bureau also went to the region and started work. Upon determining that the incident was committed by the Minaz mujahideen, the teams learned that the suspect fled the scene with a commercial taxi.
The police, who started working according to Minaz’s escape address, caught Minaz in the Yalıhüyük district and detained him. Mujahid Minaz, who learned to be schizophrenic and was being treated for this reason, was said to have come from behind when Sömek was walking down the road and cut off his head first and then his genitalia.
