As search and rescue efforts continued after the earthquake in Izmir, the fire brigade of the Metropolitan Municipality of Manisa, which participated in the rescue efforts, detected a child who was under the rubble of the collapsed 6-story building in the district from Bayraklı with a digital camera they sent inside.
The head of the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department Gürhan İnal, who was at the beginning of the search and rescue efforts, encouraged the 15-year-old boy named Günay, who was buried in İzmir Bayraklı. The fire department chief Inal’s dialogue with the boy was reflected on the cameras.

Gunay, whose first intervention was carried out by the Emergency 112 teams that arrived in the region, learned that he was in good health while being transferred to the hospital.
Günay, who was rescued from the rubble, was revealed to be on the fourth floor of the six-story apartment building during the earthquake. It was learned that there were two more people in the apartment where Günay was under the dent and rescue efforts were continuing for two people.
