WHAT HAPPENED?
Halil Sezai, who became famous with his song ‘Rebellion’, was arrested in Tuzla, Istanbul, alleging that he beat up his elderly neighbor Hüseyin Meriç on September 15 and was released after his actions in the Police Department.
Halil Sezai, who gave a statement to the prosecutor’s office in the framework of the investigation carried out by the Anatolian Prosecutor General’s Office, was arrested by the Criminal Justice of the Peace of the Guard of Anatolia, to whom he was referred for the crime of “deliberately wounding with a firearm ”.
In the indictment, the prosecution stated that Halil Sezai was sentenced to 3 years, 7 months, 15 days to 13 years and 10 months in total for “insulting”, “violating the immunity of housing”, “deliberately wounding with a weapon” , “threaten with a weapon” and “damage property”. He demanded that he be punished.
