The allegation that a person abused an 11-year-old boy in Erzurum’s Narman district confused the district.
The incident occurred last night in a field in the Narman 101 Evler Mahallesi district. According to the complaint, residents of the neighborhood saw that a person whose name turned out to be EK (45) tried to sexually abuse their 11-year-old son by tying him to a tree and intervened. As the suspect fled, the citizens rescued the boy tied to the tree.
EK, who was surprised by citizen complaints, was arrested and taken to the District Police Headquarters in the same building as the district governor. Citizens who heard the incident gathered in front of the district governor’s building. While citizens were warned to disperse, the special action, riot police and the gendarmerie took extensive measures in the region.
The suspect was evicted from the municipal door of the building, under strong security measures. Citizens who saw this wanted to attack the vehicle with the suspect. Meanwhile, when the vehicle quickly sped away, citizens wanted to go to the hospital where the suspect was taken for a medical check-up. The security forces did not let the citizens pass. There was a confrontation between the security forces and the citizens. The citizens dispersed after a short fight.
It became known that the suspect EK was sent to Erzurum to end the tension in the district.
