The number of people killed in the knife attack in Nice, the southern French city, was reported to have reached three. According to the news of the French channel BFMTV, many people were injured in the attack.

Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi said on his Twitter account that a person was arrested in connection with the attack and thanked the police for their quick response.

Eric Ciotti, a member of the Alpes-Maritimes district, said the attack was “considered a terrorist attack.”

Those who died in the attack were commemorated in the French parliament with a minute of silence, and President Emmanuel Macron summoned ministers to assess the crisis.

In Paris, the capital of France, on October 16, the teacher Samuel Paty, who showed the cartoons of the prophet Muhammad, was assassinated by beheading.

Four members of the family of Abdoulakh A., who killed Samuel Paty in the investigation, a father at Paty’s school and a person known to be “radical Islamists”, as well as five students were arrested.
