THE FIRST MEVLIT KANDIL IN THE AYASOFYA MOSQUE AFTER 86 YEARS …
The program, which began with the recitation of the Qur’an, ended with the evening prayer performed after the recitation of the Mevlid-i Sharif and the prayers.
In the program, it was observed that citizens comply with the rules of social distance in the field of coronavirus measures.

Due to the Mevlit Kandili, a program was organized in mosques such as Fatih, Süleymaniye, Sultanahmet and Eyüp Sultan.
The Koran and Mawlid were recited in mosques and prayed.
HOW WAS THE LAUNDRY LAUNDRY OPENED TO WORSHIP?
As part of the celebration of the 567th anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul, on May 29, 2020 the Sura de la Conquista was read in Hagia Sophia with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
After these events, the process of converting Hagia Sophia into a mosque was on the agenda again.
The Association of Permanent Foundations, Historical Artifacts and Environment Service, as an association that submitted requests to various institutions to transform Hagia Sophia back into a mosque, submitted a request to Department 10 of the State Council on June 8, 2020.
The Council of State annulled the decision of the Council of Ministers of November 24, 1934 on the transformation of Hagia Sophia from a mosque into a museum.
Following the decision of the State Council, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the decree to open Hagia Sophia to worship.
Therefore, the Hagia Sophia mosque was opened for worship after 86 years.
