The Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey metro line will connect the 8 most populated districts on the European side, Bağcılar, Esenler, Eyüpsultan, Gaziosmanpaşa, Kağıthane, Şişli, Beşiktaş and Beyoğlu.
MECİDİYEKÖY MAHMUTBEY METRO STOPS
On October 28, the line; Mahmutbey, Göztepe District, Yüzyıl-Oruç Reis, Tekstilkent -Clothingkent, Karadeniz District, Yeni Quarter, Kâzım Karabekir, Yeşilpınar, Veysel Karani- Akşemsettin, Çırçır District, Çıova de Alibaçy District, Paraıova de Alibaçyır District , KaÇyköy. In the second stage, the Fulya, Yıldız, Beşiktaş and Kabataş stops were activated.
INTEGRATION POINTS
Other metro lines to which the new line will be integrated are the following:
* At Kabataş station with the Kabataş-Taksim funicular
* In Yenikapı-Hacıosman subway and Mecidiyeköy station
* At Bakırköy IDO-Kirazlı Kayaşehir Metro and Mahmutbey Station
* Gayrettepe-3. At Kagithane station with the airport metro
* At Kabataş station with the Eminönü-Kabataş tram
* With the Topkapı-Sultançiftliği tram, at the Karadeniz Mahallesi station
* Eminönü-Alibeyköy tram and at Alibeyköy station
* By Metrobus at Mecidiyeköy station
* By sea transport, at Kabataş and Beşiktaş stations
TRAVEL TIME WILL BE SHORTENED WITH THE NEW METRO LINE
Istanbul’s new metro line will shorten travel times. When the entire line is activated, the distance between Beşiktaş and Mecidiyeköy will be reduced to 6 minutes.
Other travel times will be reduced as follows:
* Mecidiyeköy-Alibeyköy 8 minutes,
* Çağlayan- Gaziosmanpaşa 13 minutes,
* Beşiktaş-Sarıyer-Hacıosman 26 minutes,
* Mahmutbey-Mecidiyeköy 26 minutes,
* Beşiktaş-Mahmutbey 32 minutes,
* Mahmutbey-Yenikapi 40 minutes,
* Mahmutbey-Sarıyer- Hacıosman 45 minutes,
* Mahmutbey-Üsküdar 45 minutes,
* Mahmutbey-Kadıköy 52 minutes,
* Mahmutbey-Sabiha Gökçen Airport 96 minutes.
