The Sakarya governorate announced that the Provincial Hygiene Board met on October 26 under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor Ersin Emiroğlu. In this context, the Government announced that new measures were taken against the coronavirus epidemic.
“THOSE WHO HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WILL BE TAKEN TO HOSPITALS”
The following was stated in the governor’s statement:
* As of 02/11/2020, Yenikent State Hospital became a ‘Pandemic Hospital’ and all surgeries were stopped, the Board of Health was closed (the same service continued at SEAH and Toyota Emergency Hospitals -Sa), all polyclinic examinations were stopped, except Dusty District Polyclinic,
* Preparation of 25% capacity (Service and intensive care, if any) for Covid-19 patients when necessary,
* Cessation of all elective surgeries at Sakarya Research and Training Hospital, except emergency operations, cancer surgeries and operations that could be life threatening.
* At Sakarya University School of Medicine, all academics from the basic, surgical and intern branches must be assigned to the Sakarya Training and Research Hospital during the pandemic process and to other hospitals if necessary.
* Employment of research assistants at Sakarya University School of Medicine in pandemic clinics required by the Chief Medical Officer of Sakarya Research and Training Hospital during the pandemic process.
* Among polyclinic patients, those who only have an appointment with the MHRS are admitted to hospitals, and companions are not accepted unless they have to,
* All health personnel whose work has decreased as a result of the limitation of elective surgeries and not attending patients without an appointment must be employed in the area that the chief physicians consider appropriate
* It was unanimously decided to strictly comply with the visitor restriction in all public and private hospitals in Sakarya province in accordance with Public Health Law No. 1593.
