The United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that it discovered water in the first areas of sunlight from the Sun. The water was discovered in a crater located in the hemisphere of the Moon. The discovered water is believed to be used in deep space exploration.
Scientists previously thought that water could not stay in atmospheric regions exposed to direct sunlight. With this discovery, it was revealed that instead of the dark side of the Moon, water can be found in the regions that receive sunlight.
NASA says they hope the water they discover can be used for deep space exploration. However, it is not yet known whether this water is accessible or not.

Due to its weight, it is very expensive to get water from Earth to the Moon or any other planet. This is why NASA officials say it is invaluable to have water that can be used on the Moon for astronauts to drink or convert into breathable oxygen and fuel.
