In the statement, it was noted that United States Under Secretary of State Stephen Biegun met with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on October 24 and that both countries reaffirmed their “commitment to the implementation of the humanitarian ceasefire reached in Moscow on October 10.” .
In this context, it was stated that the humanitarian ceasefire between Azerbaijan and Armenia will start on October 26 at 08:00 local time (24:00 US Eastern Time).
In the statement, it was also stated that the United States mediated the negotiations between the foreign ministers of the two countries and the member states of the Minsk Group to bring Azerbaijan and Armenia closer together for the peaceful solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
On Friday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held separate meetings with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia and gave the message that they will continue their diplomatic efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
