BA, a fourth-grader in the German Department at Dicle University, said she had met with Melek four days before the incident. BA said she stayed in the same dorm with Melek for 4 years, “Our rooms were next to each other. In the afternoons we chatted together on the stairs. We ate together in the canteen. We were both at school during the day, but we saw each other every night. The angel was modern and free. Sometimes the girls in the bedroom would say; I suppose you have a very good family. But Melek wouldn’t say that her family is that conservative. He said something in a veiled way, ”he said.
‘He was trying to get rid of his beloved’
BA said that Melek was trying to get rid of his ex-girlfriend:
* I know this man has been in your life for a long time. Melek never used his social media accounts out of fear. The numbers were constantly changing. Every 2-3 months, a message would come in saying ‘I’m Melek, this is my new number’.
* I don’t know his last number. Now he was trying to get rid of it. He was afraid. Every time he left, he would say ‘I will come to Diyarbakır, kill you or disgrace you.’ Because he knew Melek’s friends.
* He was afraid of him, in fact, he could not leave because of his fear. Otherwise, lately there was no love and no respect.
* We last saw each other 4 days before he was killed, he was in a hurry. One day we hired to sit somewhere and have a cup of tea. “How are you, how are you, did you graduate?” asked questions. We laugh. He was joking with me saying that I still couldn’t graduate.

‘GAVE MATH LESSONS AND LEARN TO ACT’
Explaining that Melek is very active, BA said: “We agreed to meet one day and we left. Already 4 days later he was assassinated. He was giving private math lessons to students. Other than that, he was taking acting lessons. On the other hand, I was going to dance classes. He was very active, ”he said.
‘A MAN WAS HARD A WEAPON, HE FAVORED ME WHERE IT HAPPENED’
Explaining that on the day of the incident, he was also living on Art Street and heard the shots, BA said he later learned that the person killed was Melek. BA spoke as follows:
* At that time I was sitting in the cafeteria. I saw a man and he started firing a gun. I ran away no matter where it took him. After that, they screamed, yelling, Doomsday, ‘A woman has been killed! I am someone very affected by femicides. Not knowing it was an angel, I sat down and cried.
* It is night, I am still standing and crying. A woman was murdered right under my nose and I hid and couldn’t do anything. I went to social networks at night, I saw the photo of Melek, I got worse.
* My friend was killed 100 meters away and if he knew he was an angel, he would hold his hand at least on his last breath. The angel was reading a book before he was shot.
* Melek loved his brother very much. It did not fit in heaven. He was always counting. He even said that he would take Mustafa with him after settling in İzmir or Muğla.
‘THERE WAS AN ENERGY, THERE IS NO END’
Stating that Melek didn’t want to do this profession even though he graduated as a math teacher, BA said: “He studied math teacher but didn’t want to teach math. It seemed very boring. Because Melek had infinite energy. I was going to dance class. He said he would be a dance teacher in the future. He was clowning around at openings or birthdays. I was doing it for fun. He had many dreams. I wanted to be an actor for example, but it didn’t work out ”.
