The body of journalist-politician Markar Esayan, who died in the hospital where he had been treated for a stomach ailment for a time, was taken to the Patriarchate Church of the Virgin Mary in Kumkapi, where the religious ceremony will be held. The ceremony began with the sound of the bell.

Esayan’s body will be buried in Şişli Armenian Cemetery after the ceremony.
