The incident took place yesterday at noon on Art Street at the Kooperatifler Mahallesi in the Yenişehir district. Mustafa Aslan came from Adıyaman to meet his sister Melek Aslan.
According to the DHA report, an argument broke out between the two who met on Art Street. Mustafa Aslan shot his sister 4 times with the gun he carried with him.
While Mustafa Aslan was detained by the police, the lifeless body of Melek, who died at the scene, was taken to the morgue at Selahattin Eyyubi State Hospital for an autopsy.
THE FAMILY DID NOT WANT TO TAKE THE FUNERAL
The autopsy procedure for Melek Aslan’s funeral was completed last night. The staff in charge of the morgue called Melek’s family living in Adıyaman and asked them to receive the body.
In two interviews, the family stated that they did not want to take the body of their daughter Melek. If Melek’s body is not received within 15 days, it will be buried in the Orphan Cemetery.
MUSTAFA ASLAN IS ARRESTED
On the other hand, Mustafa Aslan was sent to court at midnight. Aslan was brought to court while on duty after questioning by the prosecutor and was arrested.
Aslan stated that he killed his older sister Melek for “a matter of honor” in questioning by the police and the prosecutor.
