Thanks to the mobile application “Patrol” developed by the General Command of the Gendarmerie, the consultations of people and vehicles and the identity verification processes are made easier and faster while maintaining social distance.
The mobile application “Patrol” was introduced into the video shared from the General Command’s social media accounts.
Consequently, the application, prepared by the Software Development Department, consists of 3 sections: consultation of persons and license plates, and identity consultation with NFC (Near Field Communication).
Thanks to the application, the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) tests positive and determines the people who need to be in isolation, as well as those who have the decision to arrest them for committing a crime. “Patrol” can detect fake identities in no time.
By scanning the MRZ field on the back of the new chip ID cards to the camera of the mobile device where the app is installed, the information on the card is taken and compared in the system. This process examines identities with discrepancies in their information.

The application is intended to make inquiries quickly and reduce waiting time by maintaining social distance with citizens during the pandemic process.
The application, which has been used in some provinces, is expected to be used throughout the country soon.
