The WHO Director-General pointed out that the basic principles in question are detection of active cases, cluster investigation in regions where the virus is prevalent, isolation of all cases, quarantine of contacts, good clinical care, support and protection of health professionals.

At the meeting attended by American singer Kim Sledge, who became famous with the song “We Are Family”, Ghebreyesus repeated his call for global solidarity and national unity, saying: “We are one great global family and we will win.” . used the expression.
