Kadir Şeker’s lawyers also asked the Konya Regional Court of Justice, which is a higher court, to appeal the local court’s decision of imprisonment and the continuation of his detention. One of his lawyers, the president of the Konya Bar Association, Mustafa Aladağ, stated that the incident that occurred while Kadir Şeker was trying to help a woman took place within the limits of self-defense, and said: “We filed an appeal petition before the court of appeal in Kadir Şeker.
