Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that Azerbaijani soldiers planted the Azerbaijani flag on the historic Khudaferin Bridge.

The historic Hudaferin Bridge is located on the Araz River on the border between Iran and Azerbaijan and was built in the 11th century.
The Hudaferin Bridge is located within the borders of Jabrail province, where the Azerbaijani army liberated the city center and some of its villages from occupation.
