Mehmet A. (18), who had an argument with Hazal T. (19), who was allegedly his girlfriend, at Bus Station Connection Road in Esenler, Istanbul, first shot the young woman with a pistol that he took from her waist. The young woman, seriously injured in the head, fell to the ground covered in blood. Meanwhile, the person who carried out the armed attack ended his life by shooting him in the head with the same weapon. The incident occurred in Esenler, around 12:15 AM on the Bus Station Connection Road. According to the indictment, an argument broke out on the road between Mehmet A. (18) and his girlfriend Hazal T. (19) for an unknown reason. Apparently in the debate between the two, Hazal T. suddenly got up from her seat and started running.
When the young woman crossed the street, Mehmet A., who followed him, opened fire on Hazal T. with the pistol drawn from his waist. Hazal T., who was seriously wounded in the head as a result of the shots, fell to the ground in blood. Meanwhile, Mehmet A., who carried out the armed attack, fell to the ground firing the same weapon in the head. Passing citizens immediately informed the police and medical teams.
GIRL DIES AT THE SITE OF THE EVENT
The medical teams, who arrived at the scene in a short time, performed the first intervention on Hazal T. and took him to the nearest hospital. Hazal T. died despite all the operations carried out in the hospital. In addition, medical teams determined that Mehmet A., who shot himself in the head after the attack, died at the scene.
Police teams took extensive security measures at the scene after the attack. The lifeless body of Mehmet A. was removed from the Yenibosna Forensic Medicine Morgue with the hearse after teams, who were briefed on the incident by eyewitnesses, worked at the scene.
