Last minute! Azerbaijan and Armenia agree to a temporary ceasefire

Breaking news… In the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, it was stated that the temporary ceasefire decision was taken on the basis of the statement of the heads of state of the countries co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group on 1 October and the statements of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on October 5 and in accordance with the Moscow statement dated October 10.

Armenia and Azerbaijan had taken a humanitarian “ceasefire” decision, which provided for the exchange of funerals and prisoners in Nagorno-Karabakh, starting at 12:00 on October 10, during the meetings held in Moscow.

Ten people were killed and 35 injured as a result of the Armenian army’s missile attack on the city of Ganja in Azerbaijan within 24 hours after the ceasefire. On October 15, in the attack on civilians who came to the cemetery for the burial ceremony in the city of Terter, 4 people died and 4 were injured. Today, another missile attack was carried out in Ganja, 13 civilians were killed and more than 50 civilians were injured and pulled out of the rubble.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the co-chairs of the countries of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) are based on the statement of the presidents of the United States, Russia and France on October 1 and the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group on October 5 and in accordance with the Moscow declaration of October 10. The temporary ceasefire decision, which was declared accepted, took effect at 00:00 local time.
