AKP Chairman and Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a statement, conducting examinations on the Fatih drillship in Zonguldak.
405 BILLION METERS OF 320 BILLION METERS
President Erdogan updated the ‘good news’ about the natural gas reserve in the Black Sea. In making a statement on the Fatih drillship, Erdogan said:
* As a result of the studies, we announced on August 21 that we found 320 billion cubic meters of natural gas reserves in the first two layers.
* At the end of the studies, we reached an additional 85 billion cubic meters of additional reserves at a depth of 4,445 meters.
* Therefore, the total amount of gas in the Danube-1 region of the Sakarya field was 405 billion cubic meters.
* The reserve that we discovered in the Black Sea is the largest hydrocarbon resource in our country to date.
* Our goal is for this gas to be available to our nation in 2023.
* Work on the well was completed at a depth of 4,775 meters. The Fatih drillship will be put into maintenance in the port of Filyos and will then continue its work in the Black Sea.
“WE WILL EXPAND THIS SOURCE MORE”
* I hope we can further expand this resource with the good news we will receive from the new soundings in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. Currently, our drillship Yavuz, Barbaros Hayrettin and seismic research vessels Oruç Reis continue their activities.
* Our drilling vessels represent approximately 20 percent of the total fleet in the world. Our boats have the most modern equipment in their own fields.
* Thanks to the underwater robot, we can obtain hundreds of meters of electricity and video images with remote control without any risk.
* The resources we discover are very important in terms of economic value. Turkey is a net importing country in this regard. With these discoveries, which I believe will continue, our country’s external dependence on natural gas will decrease significantly. This also means that we will provide more economical natural gas service to our nation.
* Turkey, staying out of the conflict, has gotten to where it is today with its work. Sharing resources in the eastern Mediterranean from Turkey to consent to the fight against exclusion efforts has opened new doors.
* We don’t have an eye on anyone, on his law, especially on his land. We are determined to use our full power with diplomacy to make this fight a success. The fact that the EU has become the prisoner of Greece and the Greek Cypriot side on this issue is the one that harms itself the most.
“IT WILL BE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE END OF THE EU”
* If you do not take a fair stance on the Eastern Mediterranean in the current discussions, this will be an official announcement that the end of the EU is near.
* The EU, weakened by the departure of Great Britain, cannot bear the burden of being out of power in the fair distribution of natural resources.
* In the critical period in which it is going through a process of global and regional restructuring, there is no authority other than the EU. In Turkey we are dealing with our own business.
“WE WILL NOT AVOID RAISING OUR LIVES IN THIS UGUR”
* We will continue to search for hydrocarbon resources in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. We will continue to support the righteous in Syria, Libya and Azerbaijan.
* For this cause, we will not avoid any sacrifice, not even laying down our life, if necessary. Neither the coups, nor the economic traps, the political steps, nor the hollow threats are enough.
