Smoking was banned while walking through markets, main streets, squares and busy areas within the scope of coronavirus measures in the Karacasu district of Aydın. Further action has been taken after the number of coronavirus cases increased in the Karacasu district in recent days. Smoking outside was prohibited in the district. Karacasu District Governor Ahmet Soley announced that smoking was prohibited while walking through markets, main streets and squares and crowded areas on the grounds that it prevented the correct wearing of masks due to the coronavirus. On the social media account of the Karacasu District Governorate, the following was said:
“If there is a person other than the driver in private vehicles, it has been decided to wear a mask and not accept passengers other than the capacity of the seat in private vehicles. Sanctions will be applied to those who do not obey the prohibitions. It was unanimously decided to file a criminal complaint before the General Prosecutor’s Office to take legal action within the scope of Article 195 of the Turkish Penal Code in relation to acts that constitute a crime.
