An amendment was published to the regulation that determines the principles, rules and obligations regarding real estate trade and the principles relating to the issuance, renewal and cancellation of the authorization certificate in real estate trade activities. According to the regulation, which is included in the current edition of the Official Gazette and which modifies the regulation on real estate trade, real estate trade can be carried out by companies and businesses contracted with authorization certificates.
The authorization certificate will be issued, renewed and canceled by the Provincial Directorate of Commerce in the place of the company through the Real Estate Commercial Information System. The authorization certificate will be issued separately for each business and contracted business and cannot be transferred.

The contracted companies and businesses that advertise about the sale of real estate on the Internet will be obliged to comply with the principles and rules specified in the regulations and not to include misleading information and documents of third parties in their advertisements. Natural or legal persons who mediate real estate commercial advertisements on the Internet; In the event that the announcements are made by more than one company or entity contracted for the same real estate, they will immediately remove the unauthorized announcements from the publication at the request of the company or contracted entity that is part of the authorization agreement for that property. .
The service fee fee for brokerage services cannot exceed 4 percent of the sales price, not including value added tax, and one month’s rent for leases.
Pekcan stated that the upper limit of the service fee will be controlled effectively and said that “administrative penalties will be applied to real estate agents who charge service fees to our citizens above these limits.”
OVER 1 MILLION HOUSES SOLD IN 2020
According to TURKSTAT data, 1 million 24 thousand 534 homes were sold in the period January-August 2020. The rate of increase was 42.6% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the January-August period, mortgage home sales increased 263.7% to 473,114 and in other sales modalities they decreased 6.3% to 551,420. In this period, homes sold for the first time increased by 11 , 2% up to 317,832. Second-hand home sales increased by 63.3% to 706,702.
