Studies on the treatment of new types of corona virus (Covid-19) continue in many countries around the world.
In a statement made by the US pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly, it was reported that clinical trials involving antibody studies were stopped at the request of the Data Security Monitoring Board (DSMB).
The statement read: “Lilly supports the decision of the independent DSMB to carefully ensure the safety of patients participating in the study.”
While no details are shared about the factors causing safety concerns, studies are often stopped if a volunteer is exposed to side effects or becomes ill.
JOHNSON & JOHNSON LEFT VACCINE STUDIES
Johnson & Johnson, one of the companies closest to the vaccine, announced that trials of the vaccine were suspended after an ‘unidentified disorder’ was identified in one of the participants.
