Two suspects, who were arrested in connection with the forest fires in the Belen, İskenderun and Arsuz districts of HATAY, have been arrested.

Two individuals named EK and HD were completed and detained within the framework of the investigation carried out by the İskenderun Prosecutor General’s Office in relation to the forest fire that broke out in the district of Bethlehem, Hatay and spread to the districts of Arsuz and İskenderun on October 9.
2 suspects arrested
The two suspects who were referred to court were questioned by the prosecutor. The prosecutor referred the people to court with a request for their arrest. Two suspects were also arrested and taken to court on duty.
5 million seedlings will be planted
On the other hand, Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli said: “In the areas that were burned in 2020 in Hatay, around 5 million saplings will be brought to the ground in one year.” He said.
