Hot events in the eastern Mediterranean are experiencing tensions between Turkey and Greece. Turkey’s Oruc Reis sends natural gas to the eastern Mediterranean for 10 days and will carry out seismic exploration work to release oil after successive explanations.
Greek government spokesman Stelios Petsas spoke about re-exploration of the retired ship ahead of the EU summit. Petsas, Skai Radio said in a statement, “While fasting Reis present exploratory talks with Turkey,” he said.
Petsas argued that the decision to send Oruç Reis to the nearby island of Meis was “a direct threat to peace in the region.”
