According to the special report by CNN TÜRK TV intelligence chief Nihat Uludağ and cameraman Alper Öztürk, teams from the Istanbul Smuggling Crimes Division have determined that counterfeit drinks in which 35 people died in Izmir, Kırıkkale , Mersin, Istanbul, Aydın and Muğla were produced in Istanbul.
ORGANIZED OPERATION IN THE DEATH WAREHOUSE
Smuggling police organized the warehouse in Avcılar where fake drinks were produced. Methyl alcohol distillation was resumed sending two detainees to the four corners of Turkey per load. 5,400 liters of methyl alcohol were seized in records in the warehouse.
THEY MARKED A COSMETIC PRODUCT
It was learned that the suspects who made counterfeit alcohol distilled the methyl alcohols with a very primitive device and then marketed them with a label of ethyl alcohol suitable for cosmetic or medical use.

The owner of the kiosk where fake drinks were bought and two people who brought him fake drinks were arrested. It was determined that the suspect, who brought drinks to the buffet, bought them from Avcılar’s workshop.
