Although the treatment of many people who were hospitalized continued, it was known that the investigation initiated by the Izmir Prosecutor General’s Office was expanded.

Izmir Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger declared that inspections of counterfeit drinks in the city will be tightened.
Governor Köşger responded to questions from members of the press at the ceremony held at Bornova Fatih Sultan Mehmet Primary School in line with planning for the transition to face-to-face education.

In Izmir, 18 people allegedly poisoned by fake drinks came to the city’s hospitals on October 9. 6 of those admitted to the hospital died the day before and 4 yesterday.
