In Izmir’s Karabağlar, Konak, Bayraklı, Bornova and Gaziemir districts, 18 people allegedly drinking fake alcohol were hospitalized with complaints of nausea and loss of vision.
After the deaths of Hasan Çetin Esen (59), Mustafa Maya (71), Aydın Göksoy (58) and Adem Güneş (64) who were brought to treatment, the death toll increased to six with the death of two more people who were hospitalized. With the deaths of Nejdet Kanatlıer (67) and Nihat Karaoğlan (68), who were treated at the Atatürk Research and Training Hospital of Katip Çelebi University, the number of deaths increased to eight.
THE TREATMENT OF SIX PEOPLE CONTINUES
While continuing the treatment of other people who were taken to the hospital, five people were taken to the İzmir Bozyaka University of Health Sciences Research and Training Hospital at night, and Tayfun B. was transferred to the Faculty Hospital of Ege University Medicine and Treatise. Meanwhile, Izmir Provincial Police Department teams detained 10 people due to the recent deaths and raided some warehouses and workplaces. It was known that the work of the teams continues. (İHA)
