Police intervention in commemoration of the Ankara station massacre

The police denied permission at the commemoration ceremony for 101 people who lost their lives in the bomb attack in Ankara on October 10, 2015. Dozens of people gathered at the exit of the subway, before the police intervention. Numerous people were arrested. As the wait continues in front of the Ulus metro station, the police announce commemorative people to disperse.

This decision is still under appeal. In November 2018, a second trial began regarding the fugitive defendants. This case, whose last hearing was held on September 21, is still ongoing.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), commemorated the citizens who lost their lives in the October 10 massacre in Ankara.

CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu, who left cloves in memory of 101 citizens at Ankara station where the explosion took place, was accompanied by CHP Secretary General Selin Sayek Böke, Ankara Provincial President Ali Hikmet Smart, and the Ankara MPs.
