Retired Police Chief Oğuz Oral Aydın, who was traveling with his wife on the passenger bus from Hatay to the Serik district of Antalya, suddenly fell ill. At the screams of his wife Songül Aydın, the driver stopped the bus at the side of the road and called 112 Emergencies. Aydın, who appeared to have had a heart attack, could not be saved despite the intervention of medical teams. Songül Aydın shed tears saying, “How can I live without you?” The woman, police officers and medical teams tried to comfort her.
Mehmet Tatar, one of the passengers on the bus, said: “We were coming to Antalya from Hatay. He was sleeping like all the passengers. Suddenly there was a scream. The driver stopped the bus on the right side of the road and stopped it. We immediately informed 112 medical teams, ”he said.
After the examination by the Serik prosecutor, the lifeless body of Oğuz Oral Aydın was taken to the Antalya Institute of Forensic Medicine to determine the exact cause of death.
Oğuz Oral Aydın, who also served as deputy chief of police in Antalya for a period, retired from the post of chief inspector in 2015.
