CURRENT PRESIDENT ANNOUNCED

Addressing the citizens of Kyrgyzstan this morning after the rally, President Sooronbay Ceenbekov stated that some political forces are trying to seize power using the election results as an excuse. By stating that the situation is under control, Ceenbekov called on the political forces to put the interests of the country above their own.

On the other hand, the governors of Issyk Lake, Talas and Narin, and the mayors of Bishkek and Osh resigned. The demonstrations also took place in the city of Osh, in the country. Demonstrations were also held in Osh, known as the southern capital of the country.

Protesters extract former president ATAMBAYEV from prison

While some of the protesters were still housed in the Presidential Palace, others were heading towards Ala-Too Square and the prison where political prisoners were housed.

Protesters in Ala-Too Square made announcements over loudspeakers saying “We took the Presidential Palace” and “Almazbek Atambayev and Sadır Caparov must be released.”
