President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the Reyhanlı Dam, the Afrin Stream Davutlar Diversion Canal and Regulator, the elevation of the Tahtaköprü Dam and the opening ceremony of the Hatay Drinking Water Treatment Plant with a live link from the Vahdettin mansion. The highlights of President Erdogan’s statements are as follows:
– The Reyhanlı dam, which has a water accumulation volume of 480 million cubic meters, will irrigate 585,160 decars of land in the Amik Plain. Thanks to the dam, 585 thousand hectares of land will be able to contribute 450 million TL and employment to 52 thousand people.
– Thanks to the Reyhanlı Dam, disaster on Amik Plain will be largely avoided. The floods that affected 175,000 decars last year dropped to 25,000 decars.
– Turkey, despite the global crisis, focuses on standing tall to participate wholeheartedly, thanks to the robust infrastructure in each area along with the power of unity and solidarity.
– Turkey has become stronger, more capable of defending its rights in the international arena. We work day and night for our country to take its place in the world order that will be reshaped with the effect of the coronavirus epidemic.
– Hatay is one of the cities that paid the highest price on the Syrian question. I would like to express my gratitude to each of the Hatay people who teach the world about humanity and brotherhood. Hatay made the decision to join the homeland in 1939 and clearly demonstrated her position on this issue.
– By breaking the corridor of terror that was tried to establish along our borders, we show that our Syrian brothers are not alone.
– Terrorist zones in Syria are cleared as promised or we will take care of ourselves. We will continue to participate actively on the ground until stability is achieved on our southern border.
– Terrorist organizations and those who make solid moral principles on all kinds of issues when Turkey uses them to be able to, right, set aside a law, it could give us back our way, it won’t come back. We will never accept any step that leads to a new human tragedy in Idlib.
